In 1999 Luis Fernando Moreno (LUFEMO) migrates from Colombia to the United States in search of new opportunities, due to the difficult economic situation in the country.
Once settled in this country, he was employed in different jobs like construction, plumbing, security, among others, but his real passion was the sales, which led him to start relationships with distribution companies in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia.
Thus began his first experience in sales in the United States with a company that made and distributed door-to-door household products such as glassware, filters, stainless steel pots and more. During this time he had great recognition as one of the best sellers in the area which led him to participate in the annual Sales Convention.
Due to the economic recession of 2008, which affected the sales of products for the home, Luis Fernando had the idea of distributing Colombian products, starting with fruit pulps purchasing at first from other distributors at Georgia, New York and Florida.
Its sales were focused to restaurants, revealing new flavors unknown to the Hispanic population such as Passion Fruit, BlackBerry, Guava and Soursoup, making restaurants to code these flavors on their menus of juices, drinks and cocktails like margaritas.
The business grew exponentially and he contacted the main Colombian fruit pulp producer, with whom he negotiated, thus bringing its first container directly to Washington DC.
He was helped at first by his daughter, who came to live in this area.
Today LUFEMO is renewed and shaping that dream of becoming a well-established distribution company and provider for restaurants, retail stores and institutional companies (Food Service); characterized by quality, innovation and customer service.
To accomplish the dream, the company has the best passionate team, including his son and daughter in law, experienced executives with more than 15 years of experience in distribution and sales.
This synergy arises and its first effect was born in March 2014 the first registered trademark of the company: Mr. Fermore.
